We currently have a position for Vehicle Damage Assessor at our Cheltenham Bodyshop

Job Description

The Vehicle Damage Assessor's role involves all or some of the following task

Objectives of the Job

  • To maximise the sale of parts and labour when processing vehicle estimates
  • To ensure time schedules are met and quality standards are achieved

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Inspect damaged vehicles and prepare estimates of the work required
  • Assist technicians with job card interpretation
  • Ensure work is carried out to the highest possible standard
  • Ensure customer expectations are met
  • Authorise or obtain authority for additional work to be carried out, other than that sanctioned
  • Liaise with technicians on problems arising with repairs and advise Bodyshop reception of any delays
  • Ensure repairs are 'Standard Time' or given a 'Time Taken' in accordance with Manufacturer's or manual recommendations and sign to evidence authority/agreement of time granted
  • Assist the Bodyshop Manager in establishing good and safe working practices
  • Carry out any other reasonable request of the bodyshop manager
  • Complying fully with all the employees legal obligations as defined by the COSHH Regulations 1988
  • Complying fully with all the employers requirements in accordance with the Company's Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
  • Continued professional development by attending manufacturer/industry approved training
  • Supervise any work undertaken by unqualified/semi-skilled estimators
  • Complying fully with all the requirements of the employer in accordance with all the company's legal responsibilities
  • Complying fully with all the employers requirements in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998
  • Comply with BS10125:2014:A1:2016 policies and procedures
