Each year the Baylis leadership team and staff members pull together to raise money for good causes.

The company has a policy of giving something back to the local community. Down the years sponsorship has been given to local sports clubs, from grass roots level to semi-professional teams. Schools, youth football and cricket sides have all benefitted from kit sponsorship thanks to Baylis and Vauxhall - who as a brand continue to support Home Nations football. In 2017 Baylis staged their own inter-branch football tournament which, through donations, netted an impressive winning score of £662 for charity.

This made a major contribution to the total of over £5300 which was raised during the year.

Everyone at Baylis took part in some way - whether it was buying a cake at a coffee morning, wearing a silly hat or Christmas jumper, growing a moustache or just purchasing a raffle ticket. Others have run marathons, filled shoeboxes with gifts for the homeless, taken part in boxing matches and saddled up for sponsored cycle rides - all to help others less fortunate than themselves.

Baylis have regularly supported BEN - the UK’s dedicated charity for those who work, or have worked, in the automotive and related industries, as well as their dependents. In 2017 the Midlands' Air Ambulance, Special Care Baby Unit, Macmillan Cancer Care, Honey-May and

St Paul's Homeless Charity have also received funds through the generosity of Baylis staff and leadership team.

Monthly draws have taken place throughout the year, with the winning employee choosing his or her favourite charity to receive £150, donated by the company. Last year recipients included the Mare & Foal Sanctuary, P3, Winston's Wish, Sue Ryder, British Heart Foundation, Huntingdon's Disease Association, Myeloma UK, Bristol Children's Hospital and Pancreatic Cancer UK.

We will continue to help the community in 2018. If you have any suggestions for good causes which might need support, do please get in touch.
