Monday 22 April 2019 sees the return of the Coleford Carnival of Transport, an event that celebrates all things on wheels. Taking place on the streets of Coleford in Gloucestershire, it features a host of vehicles, from cars, trucks and motorcycles to steam engines and tractors, and is a great day out for the whole family.

Now in its 22nd year, the carnival sees over 600 exhibits flock to the town centre, all of which can be enjoyed by families. Whether you want to relive your youth or show your kids what cars were like when you were growing up, you’re sure to be captivated by the array of vehicles. There’ll be vintage and classic cars, custom models, military vehicles and more, all available for you to browse.

In addition to the exhibits, you’ll find an autojumble, where you can find rare parts for a model you may be fixing up at home. There are also food stalls, street entertainment and children’s rides, keeping all ages occupied.

A park and ride service is available on the day of the event, so there’s no need to worry about getting there if you live further afield. The carnival opens at 10am and closes at 4pm, and best of all, it’s completely free to the public.

If you’d like to exhibit, you can apply via the Coleford Carnival of Transport website. Entry is £2.50 per vehicle for all exhibitors, and entries and payments can be made online. You’ll also be able to download your pass.

If all those exceptional vehicles have whetted your appetite for a new car of your own, pop along to our Baylis Vauxhall showroom at Ross-on-Wye to view the models we have in stock. Our friendly team will be happy to give you details of any car you’re interested in and accompany you on a test drive.
