Baylis is looking for an ambitious and energetic Sales Manager to join our established Cirencester dealership, representing the trusted Mitsubishi and Vauxhall brands, alongside a carefully selected used car operation.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced automotive sales leader to drive performance, develop a successful team and continue building on the dealership’s success.
The Role
As Sales Manager, you will take responsibility for the sales operation across new and used vehicles, creating a high-performing culture while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
We’re looking for a hands-on, visible leader who enjoys being on the showroom floor, engaging with customers, supporting their team and leading by example.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop the sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
- Drive new vehicle sales across Mitsubishi and Vauxhall, alongside used vehicle sales.
- Maintain exceptional standards of customer service and satisfaction.
- Manage the sales process from enquiry through to delivery, maximising conversion.
- Monitor stock levels, vehicle preparation and merchandising standards.
- Drive strong F&I performance and overall profitability.
- Coach and develop team members to maximise their potential.
- Identify new business opportunities and build strong local relationships.
- Produce accurate reporting and ensure compliance with manufacturer and company standards.
About You
You will be an experienced automotive sales professional with a proven track record of delivering results and developing people.
You will be:
- An experienced Sales Manager or an ambitious Transaction Manager ready for the next step.
- Commercially minded with strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Passionate about customer experience and team development.
- Hands-on, energetic and willing to support the team wherever needed.
- Driven by success and motivated by achieving and exceeding targets.
- Experienced in used car management and stock control.
- Confident working across both new and used vehicle sales.
- Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the automotive industry.
