What is the Motability Scheme?

At Baylis Vauxhall, we take pride in our commitment to the Motability scheme, which enables eligible customers with disabilities the chance to lease a new car every three years.

This UK charity enables individuals in receipt of a qualifying mobility allowance to lease a new car while enjoying various other benefits.

Am I eligible?

Find out if you qualify for the Motability Scheme.

You’ll qualify for the Motability Scheme if you receive one of the following qualifying allowances, and it has at least 12 months of award length remaining:

Higher rate mobility part of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
Higher rate mobility part of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

At Baylis Vauxhall, the Motability Scheme goes beyond just leasing a new car. Our comprehensive lease package includes insurance, RAC breakdown cover, servicing, routine repairs, annual tax and a minimum allowance of 60,000 miles, providing you with an all-inclusive package.

Yes, the Motability Scheme allows a named driver, such as a family member or carer, to drive the vehicle on your behalf, but they’ll need to be listed on your insurance policy.

Many adaptations are available at no extra cost, such as hand controls or wheelchair stowage. However, more complex adaptations may incur additional charges.

Servicing, routine repairs and maintenance are included with your lease package.
