We’re looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our busy workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who takes pride in their workmanship, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering safe, reliable and high-quality vehicle repairs.
You’ll use your technical knowledge to diagnose, service, maintain and repair a wide range of vehicles, while carrying out vehicle health checks and keeping customers informed of any additional work required.
With a strong focus on ongoing development, you’ll also have the opportunity to keep your skills up to date through regular manufacturer training and technical development.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ light vehicle experience, strong attention to detail and a customer-focused approach. If you’re organised, reliable and enjoy being part of a busy team, we’d love to hear from you.
OTE up to £55,000 depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for ongoing development.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Confirm reported vehicle issues, diagnose faults, and carry out necessary repairs
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting across a range of vehicle systems
- Carry out routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance to manufacturer standards
- Complete vehicle health checks, including customer video presentations of vehicle condition
- Advise on any future maintenance or repair work identified during inspections
- Ensure jobs are completed within allocated timeframes to meet deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of completed work where required
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organised at all times
- Comply with health and safety standards and participate in ongoing training
- Stay up to date with evolving vehicle technology through regular manufacturer training
Who You Are
We are looking for someone who is technically skilled, dependable, and enjoys working as part of a team.
You will ideally have:
- At least three years’ experience working on light vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills across a broad range of vehicle systems
- A preference for working in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent time management and the ability to manage time allowed for each job
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- A customer-focused mindset
- The ability to thrive in a busy workshop environment
- A full UK driving licence
